Experienced Trainer: Requirements

Scheme D) Unregulated profession without a defined scheme (provisional scheme)

The reference scheme is based on the 'modelSkills Cycle' and is in line with the 'Tourism, Arts, Heritage Competence Framework (TAH-CF)'. the TAH-CF is defined in accordance with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF), the Recommendation of the European Parliament and of the Council 2009/C 155/02 (ECVET) and the APNR (Non-Regulated Professional Activities) scheme adopted by UNI for the technical standardization of unregulated professions.”

The scheme is made available to all stakeholders in the cultural tourism supply chain in order to collect comments and useful elements to improve its contents. All interested parties are invited to improve the scheme by sending their contributions to info@aiptoc.it

The essential requirements for the evaluation of the profile used for the issuance of the International Experiences License (PIE) in the role of Experience Trainer are indicated

The profession 

The Experiential Trainer is a professional figure capable of providing training services in the experiential field.

The Experiential Trainer has a deep knowledge of the subjects covered by the training services provided

Specific tasks and activities

The Experiential Trainer has specific skills to perform all or some of the following tasks:

Fundamental tasks and specific activities 

  • T1: Evaluate training needs and user expectations for the reference sector
  • T2: Identify purpose, objectives and type of training service (characteristics of the service)
  • T3: Provide the training service
  • T4: Evaluate the Training Service
  • T5: Planning the training service 
  • T6: Improving the training offer (continuous improvement)
  • T7: Communicate the training service
  • T8: Carrying out study activities in the context of experiences and in related and related disciplines

The figure of the Experiential Trainer can be divided into three different profiles:

  • Junior Trainer: Trainer with the necessary skills to deliver training content in an experiential field.  
  • Senior Trainer: Trainer with the necessary skills to design and deliver training content in an experiential field  
  • Expert Trainer: Trainer with the necessary skills to design, deliver training content and carry out study and research activities in the experiential field 

The EQF level depends on the profile 

Junior trainer (V level EQF): Has the necessary skills to carry out tasks T1, T2, T3, T4 

Senior trainer (VI level EQF): Has the necessary skills to carry out tasks T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T6, T7

Expert Trainer (VII level EQF): Has the necessary skills to carry out tasks T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, T8

 

 Profile Evaluation Criteria

For the attestation of the possession of the requisites of competences, abilities and knowledge related to the profession it is proposed to take into consideration methodologies that take into account the following aspects in a way that are not mutually exclusive, i.e. possibly in combination with each other:

  • Qualifications issued in the academic field (Formal Learning)
  • Specific training (Non-formal learning)
  • Work or professional experience (Informal learning)

Access requirements 

  • To be included in the list of Experience Trainers it is necessary (alternatively):

    • Degree consistent with any of the subjects studied in the experiential field and at least 20 hours of training in the last three years in subjects relevant to the experiential sector;
    • Secondary school diploma and at least 60 hours of training in the last three years in subjects relevant to the experiential sector;
    • At least 1 year of proven experience consistent with the thematic areas of tourist-cultural interest and at least 80 hours of training activity in the last three years in subjects relevant to the experiential sector;

     

  • To be included in the list of Trainers of Experiences, it is therefore necessary that any one of the conditions described above is true.

  • In order to assign the level (V, VI, VII) it will be necessary to provide evidence of proven work or professional experience that takes into account the tasks indicated for the different profiles
