International Experience License (IEL): Skills 

All the Thematic (TC) and Professional (CP) Competences necessary to obtain the different levels of recognition on which the IEL is divided refer to the Framework of Tourism, Arts and Cultural Heritage Competences: “Tourism, Arts and Heritage Competence Framework (TAH-CF)”.

Professional skills:  

The International Experience Licence (IEL) is divided into different levels:

  • Experiential Literacy (First Level IEL): certifies possession of the basic knowledge useful for operating in the Experiences sector
  • Experience Specialist (Second Level IEL): certifies possession of the basic thematic skills to operate as an "Experience Specialist"
  • Head of Experiences or Ecomuseum Operator (Third Level IEL): certifies the possession of the necessary skills for the professional figures "Experiential Manager" or "Ecomuseum Operator)
  • Experiential Consultant (IEL Fourth Level): certifies possession of the skills necessary for the professional figure of Experiential Consultant ("Consultant for Experiential Tourism/Consultant for Experiential Marketing)
  • Experiential Tourism Manager (Fifth Level IEL): certifies possession of the skills necessary for the professional role of "Experiential Tourism Manager" (Director of Experiences)
  • Heritage Interpreter (Sixth Level IEL): certifies possession of the skills necessary for the professional figure "Cultural Heritage Interpreter" or other figures considered equivalent
  • Experiential Trainer (Seventh Level IEL): certifies the possession of the skills necessary to carry out training activities in any of the subjects necessary to obtain the International Experience License (IEL)
